A Living Word

The last few years have been rather challenging for me. Lots of trials, challenging relationships and many ups and downs just to name a few. I am forever encouraged by the word of God and how it ministers to me exactly when and how I need it. Last week we had a special speaker at the church I have been attending. His message was good, but there was one word that came out of the message that ministered to me just exactly where I needed it. That "Living Word" came to me from 1 Peter 5:10: "But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you." (NKJV) Isn't it encouraging to know that the things that we suffer are going to "perfect, establish, strengthen and settle" us? Gives a whole new perspective.

Lastly, today I had the awesome privilege of seeing someone come to the Lord. Praise be to the Lord! It was a most exciting day! Did you know that the angels of God rejoice when a sinner gets saved? "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10
