Speaking of keeping the law, there is something else I am learning. The more my focus is on myself and my performance the more I keep messing up or doing the very things I don't want to do. So you know what? I quit trying! I am going to rest and trust and leave the doing up to Him. My only concentration should be focusing on Him, not myself or my performance. After all, He is the one who said He would “cause” me to walk in His statutes. He will do it all in and through Me if I will just quit “trying” and wait for Him to do it. Now I have a confession to make. When I receive a revelation from the Lord usually it stays fresh on my mind for a few weeks or so and then after a while, well, you know, it just kind of goes away and sometimes I even forget what I learned. I should say, not really forget, but I quit applying. God is faithful. He was not going to let me forget this and I am convinced that He will not in the future. I will share with you soon how He reminded me of this truth in a very practical way.
