WHO is the one performing all the action in these versus? It is God!! He does it ALL. After I studied this lesson I was set free in my thinking. Guess who does it ALL in me? I realized that I could quit trying to make myself right. I am tired of trying to be what I think I should be as a Christian or tired of trying to be what others think I should be as a Christian. That is a big one for me. I have spent LOTS of time trying to be what I think others think I should be. Because you know what? No matter how hard that “I” try, “I” can’t do it!! God is the one who does the doing. Notice He says that He will put His Spirit in me and will “cause” me to walk in His statutes. It finally sunk into me that I was not going to be able to change myself. I might mention here that I can’t change others either. Oh, I can try, and TRY I HAVE, but to no avail. The only thing I am going to do is wear myself out trying. I cannot keep the law, nor can I make those around me keep it. It was never meant for me to keep. If “I” could keep it, then I would not need Jesus! Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law in and through me. I will leave you with that thought for today.
